“Jefferson County Schools needs your help as we develop our 10-Year-Plan. You are invited to be a part of our public meetings this month that will highlight the CEFP (Comprehensive Educational Facilities Plan). We’d like you to come out and offer your ideas about what we should consider as we work on the plan. You will also have a chance to see where we are in the process. So come by Shepherdstown Middle School on Thursday, April 11. After spring break, mark your calendars for Tuesday, April 23 at Harpers Ferry Middle School and Thursday, April 25 at Charles Town Middle School. The meetings all start at 6:00pm and continue through 8:00pm. Please come out and help us plan for continued success!”

HFMS Cheerleading on top after Season Competitions

The HFMS cheerleaders had an amazing season.

We’ve had 55 opponents all over the state and finished on top every single time. We’ve gotten grand champs at all five competitions:

These are all the competitions we have won.
East Fairmont Invitational
Punky Garrett in Clarksburg
Appleman Invitational
Jefferson County Championship
Bulldog Cheer Palooza

The girls maintained great grades, and still continued to work hard and improved.

This is a special team that had the perfect season.

Mrs. Lamp's Class Skypes with US Senator Joe Manchin III

Skyping with Manchin
Mrs. Lamp's 5th period WV Studies class had the opportunity to Skype with United States Senator, Joe Manchin III on March 6.  Students had a discussion with the senator in which they talked about topics including Senator Manchin's accomplishments as senator and current events.   He ended the Skype with a message to the students about how lucky they are to live in the United States of America, encouraging them to become involved and make a difference,  and to take advantage of their opportunities.
