What is the Accelerated Reader program?

The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized program that tests reading comprehension. Students select books on
their reading level,read independently, and take an independent comprehension test on the computer. Each book is worth a certain number of points based on its length and reading level.

What is the AR reading level?
Every book that has an AR Reading Practice Quiz is given a point value. AR Points are computed based on the difficulty of the book (ATOS readability level) and the length of the book (number of words).AR Points are a way of measuring how much reading practice your child is getting.

How do I check the amount of points for a book?
